We always choose what we see in each other. We may not realize that what we see is our choice, but it is our choice every time we encounter each other. As we choose how we see each other we either limit or set free. We either withhold love or extend love. We either attack or forgive. We either see Truth or illusion. As we look upon each other we will see another as they really are or something they are not.
Before we even get to what we choose to see, we must choose what we want to see in each other. Our desire is really what drives our motivation in what we want to see. As we choose separation, we see according to our desire to be separate. We make specialness of one kind or another and project it on each other, masking the reality of who they really are. We are often afraid to see another as they really are because we are afraid of what we will see. It is inevitable that we will see what we really think about ourselves reflected back to us! And that doesn’t jive with the image we have made up about ourselves.
Are we willing to see another as they truly are? Are we willing to see another in their holiness? Such a transformation comes in the willingness to see with Spirit’s eyes. The Christ in them shines brightly through. The God within them shines so bright we wonder why we missed it before. Forgiveness for all their mistaken thoughts floods our mind, lifting the veil from our eyes, allowing us to see clearly. And reflecting back to us is the true beauty of ourselves we have forgotten about. We have freed each other as we celebrate the holiness we truly are.
God’s blessings can no longer be withheld from either of you as you abandon your unwillingness. Throw it away. Let it drop into the vanishing mists of illusions gone. We celebrate with each other the wholeness of our One Self. We welcome the peace of eternity within us. We find all we ever needed and will ever need in the presence of God that dwells within us. How could we have been so blind? How could we have chosen to want anything but Truth? It has always been our choice. Let yourself be willing to make the choice to see holiness for both of you. It’s easier than you might think when you just choose and let go, letting the transformation wash through you. Choose holiness.
