Lesson 334 –

Today I claim the gifts forgiveness gives.

Did you ever imagine that forgiveness would bring gifts? Well, it’s true.

Forgiveness brings us the gift of freedom. Forgiveness releases us from all the baggage we carry with us. It releases us from blame, guilt, regret, anxiety,and so much more that weighs our mind down. It takes a great deal of effort to carry all that baggage around with us. And it all distracts us from our true nature; from the peace, love, and joy within us. All that baggage is based on misperceptions and mistaken thoughts. We have chosen to believe that a whole slew of illusions are true and that we need to get rid of them one by one, and by doing so we remain attached to these unreal thoughts. It’s time to release them and turn to the grace that is real. Turn to the unconditional love that is reality. And, it’s available to us right now, no waiting unless we choose to put it off.

I will not wait another day to find the treasures that my Creator offers me. Illusions are all vain, and dreams are gone even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perceptions. Let me not accept such meager gifts again today. My Creator’s Voice is offering the peace of Oneness to all who hear and choose to follow. This is my choice today. And so I go to find the treasures my creator has given me.   W-pII.334.1:1-6

We have been letting the Course teach us new ideas; peaceful and loving ideas. We have been learning to allow Spirit to guide our perception and our thoughts in a miraculous shift in our thinking. Perhaps, over the last year, we have been practicing the lessons the Workbook for Students offers us. We are nearing the end of those lessons and are ready to make the shift in thinking we have been preparing for. Perhaps we have already glimpsed the happiness Oneness offers us. It’s all within us. It is our rightful choice to see that this bliss is already in us waiting for us to recognize it is already ours. If we need a little help, this lesson offers the following prayer to help us make this change.

I seek but the eternal. For Your One Child can be content with nothing less than this. What, then, can be their solace but what You are offering to their bewildered mind and frightened heart, to give them certainty and bring them peace? Today I would behold my friend sinless. This Your Will for me, for so will I behold my sinlessness.   W-pII.334.2:1-5

What is true and real is eternal. Eternal Oneness is what we are offered. Even so, it is already ours and always has been. Yet we deny it again and again. Release all that is false and rest in the peace of our reality. No more need we be anxious and scared. Peace, love, and joy are our inheritance. Claim it now.

Lesson 327 –

I need but call and You will answer me.

We are not in this alone. Sometimes we can feel very alone and abandoned in this life. We forget that we are all connected, that we are one with each other and our Source. We get so caught up in the challenges we seem to be facing we can’t seem to see beyond those challenges. Then we feel forlorn and forsaken. This isolation is never true in reality. When we align our mind with the egoic thought system and separation, we block our awareness of our connection with all that is and our Oneness. Though we are always one, we can’t seem to find any sense of Oneness in our life. What do we then do?

This lesson reminds us that we can always call on our Creator and the reality of our Oneness for help and guidance. Sometimes it’s just a simple shift in our thinking – a realignment of our mind with our true Mind that is one with the Mind of Source. Sometimes it takes a little more practice at accepting the truth of who we really are. We often deny or lose sight of our own true nature, our holiness, our wholeness, our completeness, and our limitlessness. We are the One Holy Child of the One, and that can never be changed. Our salvation is the shift in our awareness from what we are not to what we truly are. In all this we are supported with Divine support.

I am not asked to take salvation on the basis of an unsupported faith. For The One has promised They will hear my call, and answer me Themself. Let me but learn from my experience that this is true, and faith in The One must surely come to me. This is the faith that will endure, and take me farther and still farther on the road that leads to Oneness. For thus I will be sure that The One has not abandoned me and loves me still, awaiting but my call to give me all the help I need to come to Oneness.   W-pII.327.1:1-5

The Course is given us to teach us we are not alone and that we are supported. The support available to us is infinite and eternal. This support is all powerful and with us 24/7 – always. It rises in us simply at our asking. We are asked to be vigilant for this guidance within us. And, when we lose sight of it within us, we need simply look to another and find what we are looking for reflected back to us. We all share this purpose in our Oneness. When it becomes still difficult to see, we are asked to look beyond the appearance of what we think we see to the reality beyond the world’s appearance at any given moment. Having difficulty with this? This lesson offers this prayer to help us make this shift in our awareness.

Creator, I thank You that Your promises will never fail in my experience, if I but test them out. Let me attempt therefore to try them, and to judge them not. Your Word is one with You. You give the means whereby conviction comes, and surety of Your abiding Love is gained at last.   W-pII.327.2:1-4

We have all the assistance there is in the universe if we will just accept Spirit’s guidance. Accepting this guidance will lead us to a state of mind that fills us with the peace, love, and joy of Oneness. Nothing need change in this world for us to realign our thought system with the Mind of Oneness. It is ours for the acceptance of a truly supported faith.

Lesson 313 –

Now let a new perception come to me.

It is really that simple. All we need is a new perception. It’s a new way of seeing. Remember the lesson, “I could see this differently.” The world really changes when we accept a new perception. Forgiveness, salvation, healing, miracles; they are all basically a new perception. This is the change we have been seeking. No one else can do it for us. We must be willing to be shown a new perspective. And Spirit is there to guide us. Rather than seeking outside ourselves, look within to the wisdom Spirit is ready to show us. This lesson offers us the following prayer to help us make this shift in thinking, to help us see with new vision.

Creator, there is a vision which beholds all things as sinless, so that fear has gone, and where it was is love invited in. And love will come wherever it is asked. This vision is Your gift. The eyes of Christ look on a world forgiven. In the Christ’s sight are all its sins forgiven, for the Christ sees no sin in anything They look upon. Now let Their true perception come to me, that I may waken from the dream of sin and look within upon my sinlessness, which You have kept completely undefiled upon the altar to Your holy Child, the Self with which I would identify.   W-pII.313.1:1-6

Such a transformation is waiting for us to awaken to. Our holy Self, One with all Creation, is there within us, undefiled and intact. We have denied our true Identity from the moment we chose to believe the idea of separation. But Spirit has held our real Identity for us waiting for the moment we change our mind and return to the awareness of who we really are. All the lessons we have practiced so far have been designed to make our minds ready for the acceptance of our true Self.

Look at your friend. Really look. See them with a new perception. They are One with us. We are One with them. We see our holy Self reflected as we gaze at the Truth Spirit reveals to us. Together we are simply Holiness. Together we are complete, limitless, and whole. All this is revealed in our Oneness. As we look and accept, love rises in us, peace surrounds and comforts us, joy fills us with the grandeur and grace of Holy Oneness. We have arrived at our destination and the journey is complete. Let us rest in this moment as the holy instant lifts us and buoys us. The light of our collective holiness shines bright as it always has, yet now we recognize the light we are.

Let us today behold each other in the sight of Christ. How beautiful we are! How holy and how loving! Friend, come and join with me today. We save the world when we have joined. For in our vision it becomes as holy as the light in us.   W-pII.313.2:1-6

Lesson 306 –

The gift of Christ is all I seek today.

We have a gift we have been given. We have always had this gift for it was given us at our creation. This gift is Holy Vision. It is the gift to see clearly. It is the gift to see reality rather than illusion. It is the ability to see beyond the appearance of all we think we see in this world to what is real and true. It enables us to change the lens through which we perceive this world. There is a way to perceive this world with the guidance of Spirit that reveals Heaven in this world right now. The world can be a place of ease and grace if we will just allow ourselves to be open to its revealing. It is a place where only peace, love, and joy exist. It is a place that is our home.

What but Christ’s vision would I use today, when it can offer me a day in which I see a world so like to Heaven that an ancient memory returns to me? Today I can forget the world I made. Today I can go past all fear, and be restored to love and holiness and peace. Today I am redeemed, and born anew into a world of mercy and of care; of loving kindness and the peace of Oneness.   W-pII.306.1:1-4

We have longed for this world Christ’s Vision reveals to us. We have long sought it, but were looking for it where it was not. It has always been within us, within our minds. We did nothing more than deny its existence, blocking it from our awareness with the barriers of our belief in separation. Nothing was ever harmed except our experience. And that is forever changed when we realize we made a mistake in perception. And we can undo that mistake at any moment we choose. Take a moment to pause. Take a breath and turn to look again, willing to see differently. Allow the holiness we are to rise to our awareness. Release the belief that we are less than and limited. Allow the light within us to shine away the darkness we have made simply by blocking our light. Allow the reality of who we are to return to our awareness. How do we begin? This lesson offers this prayer to help us open to the awareness and acceptance of what is already ours.

And so, our Creator, we return to You, remembering we never went away; remembering Your holy gifts to us. In gratitude and thankfulness we come, with empty hands and open hearts and minds, asking but what You give. We cannot make an offering sufficient for Your Child. But in Your Love the gift of Christ is theirs.   W-pII.306.2:1-4

What can it hurt? Take a step of faith that we are much more than we think we are. Allow this Holy Vision to rise in us. We will see that what we desire is right before us waiting for us to open our hearts and minds to what it offers. Here is the peace, love, and joy of Heaven.
